Fatal Crash in Hanover
A 79-year-old Dayton, New York, man is dead following a crash at about 6:40 this morning on Route 39 in Hanover.
Sheriff’s deputies say Horace Ivett’s pickup truck left the road, hit a small tree and a utility pole before coming to rest in a private driveay.
Coroner Warren Riles pronounced Ivett dead at the scene. Deputies are continuing their investigation and are looking into the possibility that Ivett may have been suffering a medical emergency at the time of the crash.
