Medical Issues Lead to Crash

A 72-year-old Chautauqua County woman had to be flown to UPMC Hamot following an accident this afternoon on Route 394 in North Harmony.

Sheriff’s deputies say Harriett Lank of Celeron was driving west when, due to medical issues, she went off the road and hit a tree and a utility pole. Emergency personnel had to use extraction equipment to get Lank out of the car.

Starflight took her to the Erie hospital, where there is no word on her conditon.
