New Excelco/Newbrook Facility

SILVER CREEK, NY -- Today officials from Chautauqua County, Remtronics Inc., Excelco/ Newbrook, Inc., Village of Silver Creek, and the Chautauqua County Industrial Development Agency (CCIDA), met in Silver Creek for a major business event.

"Today's announcement is the culmination of excellent economic development work done by our CCIDA. We always look for success stories, but in this case, we truly have wins for all involved. Excelco/Newbrook, Inc. is taking what was the old Remtronics facility for their corporate uses. This shows how cooperation among business and government entities can work well," stated County Executive Greg Edwards.

Remtronics Inc., moved from the Village of Silver Creek to its new facility in the City of Dunkirk. Since that time, their employment has gone from 59 to over 70 employees. Michael Kadis, the owner of Remtronics, could have moved the business to Cleveland, OH. The conditions of his staying in Chautauqua County were that he find a quality building in Dunkirk to move the company to, and that the CCIDA would take the Remtronics building in Silver Creek after their move to Dunkirk.

"The CCIDA told us throughout the process that they would work to make sure the Remtronics building would be used by a business entity rather than become a large abandoned building in the middle of the Village. The CCIDA kept its word by facilitating Excelco/Newbrook, Inc. taking the building. We are so fortunate to have this outstanding company in our Village and having them taking this space and fully remodeling it is exactly the result we were hoping for," said Village Mayor Kurt Lindstrom.

Bill Daly, Administrative Director/CEO, of the CCIDA approached Christopher Lanski, President, and PJ Azzarella, CFO, with the idea of their using the building. Mr. Daly said, "it's such a great pleasure to work with Chris, PJ, and Doug Newman, Executive Vice President, at Excelco/Newbrook, Inc. They have a wonderful business in the Village and we had a feeling that they might have interest in the building. As it turned out, they did and they moved rapidly to start the process of making this part of their significant presence in Silver Creek."

Chris Lanski, President of Excelco/Newbrook, Inc. commented that "this was an excellent opportunity for our company since we needed more space to compliment our two existing buildings in the Village. This expansion was very timely, allowing us to make some strategic improvements in some of our processes because of the increased space." Mr. Lanski also went on to thank Paul Wisniewski, of PW Design Services, who is the Project Manager for the remodeling of the building.

Excelco Developments Inc. provide engineering, machining, fabrication, welding, NDE and testing services for high tech applications such as nuclear, aerospace, marine and demanding commercial projects. They work with common and exotic materials, including titanium and work to the quality requirements ISO 9001 and Mil Specs.

Remtronics, Inc. is a leading high reliability contract manufacturer of electronic products. Their manufacturing processes yield products that are electromagnetic, electromechanical, solenoid coils, cables, harnesses, fiber optic assemblies and plastic molded components. These products are used in a wide variety of aerospace, military, medical and industrial applications.
