Woman Charged in Connection to Chase
The woman who was a passenger in a car during a high-speed chase in Hornellsville back in September has been charged.
19-year-old Christine Stevens of Bath is charged with hindering prosecution and filing a falsely written statement.
Police say Richard Vangorden led them on a high-speed chase with Stevens in the passenger seat. He allegedly fired several shots at troopers during that chase, and was charged with attempted murder.
Vangorden and Stevens were arrested after a standoff in a Wellsville trailer park. Stevens' charges are related to false information she gave to state police after the chase.
