Pirates to Open Gates One Hour Early
for Season Ticket Holders

The Pittsburgh Pirates today announced the gates at PNC Park will now open 30 minutes earlier for all Pirates season ticket holders prior to all Monday through Saturday night games. The change means season ticket holders will now have access to the park a full hour prior to gates opening to the general public.

The enhanced benefit allows season ticket holders to gain access two hours and thirty minutes prior to game time by showing their Season Ticket Holder card or having their season ticket scanned.

After surveying several current season ticket holders and understanding the desire to view Pirates batting practice, the organization decided to make the change to enhance the overall experience for our loyal season ticket holders.

“This decision was made as a response to the feedback we received from our season ticket holders,” said Pirates President Frank Coonelly. “Our fans provide outstanding feedback and we agreed that season ticket holders who support the club all season long deserve the special opportunity to watch Pirates batting practice. This special benefit is another way for us to say thank you for our season ticket holders’ support.”

The 2012 PNC Park gate times are as follows:

· For Monday through Friday night games, Season Ticket Holders may enter the ballpark and proceed to the Left Field Bleachers 2 hours and 30 minutes prior to game time.

· On Saturday night games, Season Ticket Holders are permitted to enter into the Left Field Bleachers and main concourse 2 hours and 30 minutes prior to game time.

· Early access is granted by entering through the Clemente (CF) Riverwalk Gate, and proceeding to the bullpen gates where season ticket holders can then show their Season Ticket Holder card or have their season ticket scanned.

· Season Ticket Holder early entry is not available on day games (12:35pm, 1:35pm and 4:05pm).

All season ticket holders are eligible for the new entry times as full-season plans, 41-game plans, 20-game plans and 10-game plans each qualify.

In addition to the early entry times, Pirates season ticket holders may take advantage of other exclusive benefits including online ticket exchange privileges, bonus game tickets, and discounts on additional tickets. 2012 full season plans start at just $399 and 10-game plans start as low as $100.
