Contest for Summer Shutterbugs
HARRISBURG, Pa. – The Pennsylvania Parks and Forests Foundation invites the public to join the 2012 “Take Five in the Outdoors” photo contest by submitting entries in five categories:
• Appreciation of Beauty
• Kids in the Outdoors
• Outdoor Recreation
• Volunteers in Action
• Dogs in the Outdoors
Three prizes will be awarded in each category. These include state park gift cards, Pennsylvania Parks and Forests Foundation bandanas and mugs, and Hershey’s Take Five candy bars. Dogs in the Outdoors contest winners are eligible for a RuffWear dog bed or a RuffWear collapsible water bowl.
The top three winning photographs will be featured on the foundation’s website, Facebook Page, and other electronic communications. Best in show winners will be featured on the cover of the foundation’s fall newsletter.
Photos must be submitted to ppffnewsletter@pa.net by September 3, 2012. Voting begins on September 5 on the foundation Facebook Page at www.facebook.com/PennsylvaniaParksandForestsFoundation. Judging will be by popular vote. All photos must be taken in a Pennsylvania state park or forest.
