Woman Allegedly Stole Cigarettes

A Port Allegany woman is accused of stealing from a Cattaraugus County store.

Sheriff’s deputies say 47-year-old Mary Lou Silvis took a carton of cigarettes from W&W Vandalia Gas Mart back in April 2011. It wasn’t until she returned to the gas station Sunday night that the attendant was able to get a license plate number off the vehicle she was driving.

She is scheduled to appear in Town of Carrollton Court.
