Ceglia Pleads Not Guilty
Paul Ceglia has pleaded not guilty to federal wire and mail fraud charges for allegedly trying to defraud Facebook and its founder Mark Zuckerberg.
The Wellsville man was indicted by a federal grand jury Monday and entered the plea Wednesday in federal court in Manhattan.
Ceglia’s lawyer plans to ask that the trial be moved outside of New York.
Charges were filed against Ceglia in October after investigators determined he doctored evidence to support his claim that he and Zuckergerg entered into a contract that entitles him to a share of the multi-billion company. Zuckerberg has said all along that he and Ceglia had a contract, but it had nothing to do with Facebook.
