Police Find More Than 700 Pot Plants

Police found more than 700 pot plants and more than 30 weapons while executing search warrants in Chautauqua County earlier today.

The raids, seizures and seven arrests started at around 5:45 and covered five locations.

In Jamestown, 37-year-old Angel Pacheo and 32-year-old Gloria Pacheo allegedly had 400 marijuana plants, two pounds of dried pot and cash. They were also charged with endangering the welfare of a child. 22-year-old Eric Truver and 22-year-old Jillian Hilton allegedly had 85 plants and 10 ounces of dried marijuana. 51-year-old David Truver allegedly had 83 plants.

In Busti, 54-year-old Mark Truver allegedly had 12 pounds of dried marijuana, cash and 15 long guns. 55-year-old Scott Truver allegedly had more than 170 marijuana plants and 22 long guns.

Police say more charges are expected. They say they were able to find the growing operations because the power meters had been modified in attempt to avoid payment.
