Alleged Meth Makers Arrested After
Three-Hour Standoff with NYS Police

Following a three-hour standoff with state police in the Town of Scio, two people were arrested for running a meth lab.

24-year-old Jordan Doane of Friendship and 22-year-old Elizabeth Martin of Wellsville are charged with unlawful manufacture of methamphetamine and unlawful disposal of meth lab material, both felonies.

The charges were filed following an investigation into a clandestine lab on Kansas Hollow Road in Bolivar on November 21. Troopers found Doane and Martin at the Long Vue Motel on Route 417 in Scio, where they barricaded themselves in a room and refused to come out.

Several police agencies, including the New York State Police Special Operations Response Team and negotiators were on the scene. When Doane and Martin finally surrendered they were taken to Town of Bolivar Court, where they were arraigned, and then sent to Allegany County Jail in lieu of bail. County District Attorney Keith Slep says additional charges may be filed as the investigation continues.
