Bus Driver Pleads Not Guilty to Sex Abuse
A school bus driver for the Randolph Central School District has pleaded not guilty to sexually abusing a child.
66-year-old John Hitchcock is accused of sexually abusing a boy younger than 13 on a number of occasion between September and October of last year between Randolph and Ashville. He is charged with seven counts of sexual abuse and one count of endangering the welfare of a child.
Hitchcock is jailed on $50,000 cash bail. The school district placed him on administrative leave.
Law enforcement and child advocacy centers in both Cattaraugus and Chautauqua counties investigated the case.
