NYS Police Hoping to Connect with Past

New York State Police are hoping Erie County Fair-goers can help them connect with their past.

As they are looking at revisions to the museum at the State Police Academy in Albany, troopers are inviting people to bring New York State Police memorabilia to their display area at the fair. Everything will be scanned into a computer file.

Also, as the 100th anniversary of the New York State Police approaches, troopers are reminding retired members, their family and friends to stop in and tell tales of their days “on the job.” These stories may be used as part of an anniversary celebration.

During the fair troopers will be participating in canine and rapelling demonstrations.
