Witnesses Intimidation Charges Bound to Court

Charges against the Bradford man accused of choking his girlfriend and kneeing her in the face, and then to trying to intimidate her into not testifying against him, have been bound to court.

Axle Tankersley is accused of calling the victim 40 times from the McKean County Jail before the number was blocked. According to papers filed in District Judge Dominic Cercone’s office, Tankersley told the victim to not show up for court, to lie about what happened and to make up a story about being too drunk to remember.

On October 5 Tankersley allegedly smashed windows in the victim’s car and then assaulted her to the point that she blacked out. She was treated at BRMC for severe facial injuries.

Tankersley remains in jail.
