Man Threatens Kane Cop with Knives

A man armed with two butcher knives ran after a Kane Borough police officer, who was able to hold him off until backup arrived.

The suspect, 42-year-old Larry P. Walker II of Kane, was stopped when Mount Jewett Police Chief Steve Hale fired a stun gun at him.

Officer Bill Nichols was not hurt in the incident Thursday.

A felony charge of aggravated assault and misdemeanor counts of terroristic threats and recklessly endangering another person have been filed in District Judge David Engman's office, but Walker has not been arraigned yet.
