Man Pleads Guilty to Euclid Avenue Crash

UPDATE 1/15/15: Herbstitt was sentenced to 1 to 2 years in McKean County Jail.

The man who was driving nearly 70 mph on Euclid Avenue when his car crashed into a tree, seriously injuring two of his five passengers, has pleaded guilty in McKean County Court.

23-year-old Matthew Herbstritt was charged with aggravated assault by vehicle while driving under the influence, recklessly endangering another person, corruption of minors, DUI and possession of drug paraphernalia.

The crash happened on the afternoon of March 9. Herbstritt will be sentenced January 15.
