Man Accused of Stealing From Employer

An employee of Seneca Distribution on Chestnut Street who gave his two week notice is accused of using his last few days on the job to rack up more than $1,100 worth of purchases on a company credit card.

Court records say 23-year-old Michael Miller of Ellicottville gave notice on September 29 but last showed up to work on October 3. But, he made purchases on the company credit card between October 1 and October 6.

On October 6, a relative of Miller’s who works for Seneca Distribution turned in Miller’s key fob and the credit card. A company supervisor contacted Miller about the unauthorized purchases and was told that if the company didn’t pay off the credit card, Miller would report them to the department of Alcohol, Tobacco and Firearms, as well as the Pennsylvania Department of Revenue.

Miller is free on his own recognizance.
